kinzi-pelican-hook
Pelican Hook

Description

This pelican hook is a quick-release hook used to close and tension lifeline gates and to hold a load that has to be released quickly under tension. The hook is cast in AISI 316 stainless steel and has a forged threaded end for connecting to a wire or terminal, and a small ring so that a lanyard can be fitted. Pulling back the lever opens the hook while a load is on it, which is why this style is common on lifelines, safety nets and tow lines. The surface is electro polished for a bright, smooth finish that resists corrosion in a marine setting. Two sizes are available, 6 mm and 8 mm. The maker lists right hand and left hand thread options, and the handedness supplied is not stated. Breaking loads are not published in the supplier data, so confirm them before using the hook on a safety-critical connection. It suits a boat owner fitting or repairing lifelines.

Features

Sizes: 6 and 8 mm

Material: AISI 316 stainless steel, cast hook with forged parts

Thread: right or left hand, see maker chart

Finish: electro polished

Use: lifeline gates and quick release connections

What's Included

One pelican hook, in the size chosen
