kinzi-welded-round-ring
Welded Round Ring

Description

This welded round ring is a plain stainless steel loop used to join lines, straps, shackles and hooks on a boat. It is made from forged stainless steel rod bent into a circle and welded closed, and it is a simple, strong connector for mooring lines, lashings, sunshades and rigging. The maker lists the material in AISI 304 or AISI 316 stainless steel, and the surface is electro polished for a bright finish that resists salt water. Two sizes are in stock, 10 x 50 mm and 12 x 60 mm, where the first number is the rod diameter and the second is the ring diameter. The maker notes that the breaking load is the point at which the weld fails, and that deformation starts at about one fifth of the breaking load, so the ring should not be loaded beyond that. It suits a boat owner needing a tidy, dependable ring for a tie-down, bridle or deck rigging.

Features

Sizes: 10 x 50 mm and 12 x 60 mm

Material: AISI 304 or AISI 316 stainless steel, forged rod, welded

Finish: electro polished

Deformation load: about one fifth of the breaking load

Use: joining lines, straps, shackles and hooks

What's Included

One welded ring, in the size chosen
