tecline-side-16-avenger-sidemount-bcd
Side 16 Avenger Sidemount BCD

Description

Moving two cylinders from the back to the hips alters how a rig sits in the water, and a converted back-mount wing rarely lies flat behind the diver. The Side 16 Avenger is Tecline's purpose-built sidemount system, with a flat 16 kg bladder that stays low behind the diver to cut drag and pass restrictions more easily. It suits the cave course where cylinders are clipped and unclipped at the surface, a boat dive where the diver kits up in the water, and a winter quarry dive on two aluminium cylinders. Four integrated pockets take 10 kg of lead, the removable butt plate carries steel cylinders or accessories, and the 33 cm K-type inflator fits on either side. A rear quick-release valve in the lower back vents in a horizontal or head-down position, and five stainless D-rings, two of them movable on the waist belt, take the cylinder clips. The shell is Cordura 1000D, to EN 1809. Regulators and cylinders are sold separately. It suits a diver trained in sidemount who wants a complete rig in plain black.

Features

Lift: 16 kg

Bladder: flat sidemount profile

Outer material: Cordura 1000D

Weight pockets: 4 integrated, 10 kg in total; 2 kg and 4.5 kg trim pockets sold separately

Inflator: K-type, 33 cm, fits on the left or right

Dump: rear quick-release valve in the lower back

D-rings: 5 stainless steel, movable D-rings on the waist belt

Harness: adjustable shoulder, chest, waist and crotch straps with integrated shoulder pads

Butt plate: fitted, removable

Standard: EN 1809

Colour: Black

Regulators and cylinders: sold separately

What's Included

Side 16 Avenger sidemount wing with harness and weight pockets

Butt plate

Hardware and bungees

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0934/1730/8473/files/sidemount-bcd-side-16-avenger-16-kg-buoyancy.jpg?v=1790774518
