The WFS05 uses one, with a full-power guide number of 24 at 1 m and ISO 100 and eleven steps from 1 to 24. It fires from the camera over the supplied fibre-optic cable, recycles in 0.1 to 1.5 s depending on power, and gives more than 1200 full-power flashes from its four-cell 18650 pack. For wide-angle reef shots it lights the foreground evenly, on a macro dive the built-in 200 lumen white focus light helps the camera find focus, and at night the 1 W red light gives a working light. The screen flips so the strobe reads correctly whether it is mounted up or down, and there are separate remote and strobe ports. It weighs 1050 g on land and 240 g in water and is rated to 100 m. It suits a photographer who wants a powerful strobe with a built-in focus light.

Features

Guide number: 24 at 1 m, ISO 100, full power

Maximum power: 80 Ws

Power steps: 1, 1.4, 2, 2.8, 4, 5.6, 8, 11, 16, 22 and 24

Recycle time: 0.1 to 1.5 s depending on output

Flashes per charge: more than 1200 at full power

Trigger: fibre-optic cable (included), separate remote port

Focus light: 1 W white spot, 200 lumens at 6000 K, plus 1 W red light

Display: screen that flips for up or down mounting

Battery: 4 x 18650 lithium-ion pack, 3400 mAh

Size: 119 x 119 x 135.5 mm

Weight: 1050 g on land, 240 g in water, with battery

Depth rating: 100 m

What's Included

WFS05 ring strobe

Optical fibre cable

Battery

Charger

Ball mount

Knob handle

2 spare O-rings

Hexagon wrench

User manual, guarantee card and certificate
