The Aqua Lung Explorer II Duffel is a carry-on sized dive pack that converts between a duffel and a backpack, with stowaway shoulder straps that double as duffel handles. Carry-on dimensions are the point: a regulator and a computer go in the cabin, where they cannot be lost by an airline.
The bag is heavy-duty 1680D polyester and mesh, with corrosion-resistant zips and easy-grip pulls, and it carries a two-year limited warranty. A mesh drying pocket lets wet accessories dry while the bag is being carried rather than souring the main compartment. Fin straps on the back take any size fin, which is what makes it a dive bag rather than a gym bag. Internal padding gives the bag its shape and protects what is inside it.
The result is a bag that goes into the overhead locker with the expensive parts of a kit inside it, and turns into a backpack for the walk to the boat.
Supplied in glacier or black. The Adventurer mesh bag is the wet-kit companion for the same trip, and the Explorer 90L and 120L are the wheeled bags for everything that will not fit in a cabin. Carry-on dimensions vary by airline, so check the allowance before relying on it.
