Shipping policy

We ship anywhere in South Africa with The Courier Guy, and you are welcome to collect from our shop in Glenvista at no charge.

Delivery charges

  • Orders under R1 000: R150 flat rate, anywhere in South Africa.
  • Orders of R1 000 and over: free delivery.
  • Collection from our shop: free.

The delivery charge is shown in your cart before you pay. All prices on this site include VAT.

Dispatch and delivery times

We dispatch orders within 24 hours of receiving them, and often sooner. Orders placed over a weekend or on a public holiday go out on the next business day.

Once your parcel is with The Courier Guy, expect:

  • Main centres (Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban, Cape Town, Gqeberha, Bloemfontein): 1 to 3 business days.
  • Outlying and regional areas: 3 to 5 business days.

These are working days and exclude weekends and public holidays. They are estimates from the courier, not guarantees. Delivery times can run longer over December, Easter and during load shedding or weather disruptions, and we will tell you if we know your order is affected.

Tracking your order

You will get an email with your waybill number as soon as your parcel is collected from us. Track it at thecourierguy.co.za/track. If the tracking has not moved in two business days, email us at shop@scubaevolution.co.za and we will chase it.

Delivery addresses

We need a physical street address. The Courier Guy cannot deliver to a PO Box or a Postnet suitcase.

Deliveries happen during business hours, roughly 08:00 to 17:00, and someone needs to be there to sign. If nobody is available, the courier will attempt redelivery. Repeated failed attempts, or an incorrect or incomplete address supplied at checkout, may attract a redelivery fee that we will quote you before we act on it.

Some remote areas carry a courier surcharge. If your address falls into one, we will contact you before dispatch with the amount and you can choose to pay it, switch to collection, or cancel for a full refund.

Collecting from the shop

Choose "Pick up" at checkout and we will have your order ready within 24 hours. We will email you when it is ready, so please wait for that email before driving through.

Trading hours: Monday to Saturday 09:00 to 17:00, Sunday 09:00 to 13:00, closed on public holidays.

Bring your order number and your ID. If someone else is collecting on your behalf, email us their name beforehand and send them with a copy of your ID.

Dive cylinders

Cylinders are couriered empty, with the valve removed or fully open, because couriers will not carry pressurised cylinders. Your cylinder will arrive needing a visual inspection and a fill before you can dive it, which any reputable dive centre can do, ourselves included.

If you would rather receive a cylinder tested, filled and dive-ready, choose collection from the shop and we will hand it over ready to go.

Out of stock items

If something you ordered turns out to be unavailable, we will contact you and you can wait for stock, swap it for something else, or take a full refund to your original payment method. We do not part-ship an order without asking you first.

If something arrives damaged

Your order travels at our risk. Until the parcel is in your hands it is our problem to solve, not yours, whatever arrangement we have with the courier. Our agreement is with you.

Check your parcel when it arrives. If the box is visibly damaged, note that with the driver before you sign for it.

Report transit damage to shop@scubaevolution.co.za within 48 hours of delivery, with photographs of the item and of the outer packaging it arrived in.

Please keep the item and all of its packaging until we confirm the matter is closed. Couriers assess damage claims against the goods themselves and may need to collect them, so anything discarded early can sink the claim.

We will replace the item, and where we have no replacement to send you we refund you in full. Dealing with the courier is our job, not yours.

International orders

We currently ship within South Africa only. If you are outside the country and want to order, email us at shop@scubaevolution.co.za and we will quote you.
