Safety Set 6.0 with Hybrid SMB and Spool

Description

A taller marker shows up from further away in a swell, and this set packs a 1.8 m buoy with its spool into one bright pocket on the harness. The OMS Safety Set 6.0 combines a slim hybrid SMB about 1.8 m long, a 23 m (75 ft) finger spool with a stainless steel BigGrip double ender, and the OMS Safety Pocket that carries them. The SMB fills from an octopus through the one-way duck valve in its base, from a low-pressure hose on the no-lock inflator, or by mouth. Around 12 kg of lift and the extra height make it the better choice for rougher seas, where a 1 m marker is easy to lose between waves. On a drift dive along an exposed coast it gives the skipper a clear target for the whole ascent. The plastic-coated mesh pocket drains quickly, threads onto any 2 inch webbing and shuts with a marine-grade zip. It suits a diver who regularly dives in open water, currents or rougher seas.
