Bamboo Sunglasses

Description

UV400 is the figure worth checking on any eyewear worn on a dive boat, where reflected glare adds to what comes down from the sky, and a UV400 lens blocks the ultraviolet band up to 400 nanometres. These are CE certified to it, on a frame pairing bamboo with polycarbonate so the arms take a knock without the weight of a full timber frame, with the SCUBAPRO logo laser engraved on both sides. Three colourways are stocked: a brown frame with brown lenses, a black frame with mirrored blue lenses and the same frame with mirrored yellow. A mirror finish knocks back the glare bouncing off the water, which is what makes a shot line or a trail of bubbles hard to pick out; the brown lens is the better choice under an overcast Cape sky. No corrective option exists, in the lens or as an insert, so this is eyewear for above the water alone. It suits a diver spending the day on a boat.
