Flex-Connect Buoyancy Float Rings x 4

Description

Holding 23 ounces of negative buoyancy in one hand for a fifty minute dive is tiring in a way that shows in the framing, and it is the usual reason a photographer's last twenty minutes are worse than the first. These rings offset that. Each adds 4 ounces, 113 grams, of lift in seawater, and SeaLife publish a worked example: a SportDiver on a dual tray with two grips, two Flex Arms and two Sea Dragon 5000+ lights carries 23 ounces negative, four rings bring it to 7 ounces negative, and further rings take it positive. They are high-density foam and thread onto Flex-Connect arms and grips rather than clamping, so no mounting point is given up. Four come in a pack. Add them a pack at a time and test in fresh water before settling on a number. The Flex-Connect Buoyancy Weights trim in the other direction for a rig that has ended up floating. It suits a photographer whose rig hangs heavy.
