Float Snorkel

Description

A rigid snorkel left on the mask is a lever that pulls the seal on every duck dive. This one folds flat instead, and it floats, so it goes in a pocket or under a mask strap rather than hanging off the head on a descent. Those two properties are what a scuba snorkel cannot offer a freediver. The tube is deliberately simplified with no purge and no splash guard, because a freediver clears on the surface and every additional part is drag and bulk to tow, and nothing about the design assumes a regulator will be used alongside it. The mouthpiece is soft silicone on a low-profile bore, and the tube is flexible enough to fold without creasing or taking a set. Two colourways are stocked: black with grey, and black with a white trim stripe. It covers everything from a first freediving course to competitive line work and packs small enough to justify carrying on a snorkelling trip. Fourth Element publish no weight. It suits a freediver working a line.
