An X-Wing blade and foot pocket bought separately will not go together without the small parts that lock one to the other. This Mares fixing set supplies them: a blade holder and self-tapping screws that secure an X-Wing blade into the foot pocket. Mares packs the equipment needed to assemble a single freediving fin, so a pair of fins needs two sets. The parts are the originals Mares specifies for the X-Wing system, so the blade seats in the pocket as it was designed to. Keeping a spare set in the dive bag also means a lost screw does not end a training session early. That covers building a pair from a new X-Wing foot pocket and a separate blade, swapping to a stiffer blade, and replacing a screw lost on the beach.
