Sportdiver Wide Angle 6”/15cm

Description

A frame half above and half below the surface is the picture a dome makes easy and a flat port makes close to impossible, which is the clearest reason to own one. This version mounts straight onto the SportDiver housing's lens port with no adapter and widens the phone camera's field of view by 43 percent, so the photographer works closer to the subject, through less water, and still fits the scene in. Getting closer is the other half of the gain: less water between lens and subject means more colour and more detail. The 0.65x dome needs no setting up, and the optics are high-grade acrylic in a 2-element, 2-group array for edge-to-edge sharpness. Film-equivalent focal length is 15.6 mm on a SportDiver with an iPhone 15 Pro ultrawide camera. A safety lanyard comes with it, which is what stops a lens knocked off the port reaching the bottom. It suits a SportDiver owner shooting wide or split shots.
