Ergo Nut Set

Description

Wing nuts are a wear item on a technical rig. They cross-thread, they go over the side of a boat, and enough salt water dives take the edge off any thread, which turns a ten minute wing swap into a workshop visit. This is the pair that fastens a wing to an S-TEK backplate, seated down inside the recessed socket formed in the plate so nothing stands proud to catch a line. Two nuts match the two bolts that pass through a plate and its wing. They fit the S-TEK PURE and PRO backplates in both the stainless steel and the anodised aluminium versions. Because they are hand-tightened, a plate can be stripped and rebuilt on a bakkie tailgate with no spanner in the kit, which matters more than it sounds when wings get swapped between single and twin configurations. The nuts alone are supplied; bolts, backplate and wing are separate items. It suits an S-TEK owner keeping a spare set in the save-a-dive box.
