Weight Pocket Insert

Description

Handling bare lead leaves oxide on the hands and eventually in the car, the kit bag and everything else those hands touch afterwards. The insert is the part that keeps it contained: the lead lives in the insert, and the insert goes into the pocket, so nothing loose is ever handled at the water's edge. It carries its own lifting handle, which is the difference between placing 6 kg into a pocket and dropping it in. It is also the wearing part of the assembly, so it is the piece that fails first and the one worth stocking as a spare. Sizes S, M and XL match the 2 kg, 3 kg and 6 kg ditchable pockets, and the size to order is the one marked on the pocket rather than the weight actually being carried. It suits a diver replacing a worn insert, or adding a second set.
