Inflator Head

Description

Everything that moves inside an inflator is in the head: the valve fed from the low-pressure hose, the oral inflation path and the dump. The corrugated hose behind it has no moving parts and routinely outlives two heads, so replacing both when only one has worn is money spent for nothing. The symptoms that point here are specific. An inflator that has begun to creep or free-flow, a button that feels gritty rather than crisp, and an oral inflate that will no longer seal are all worn mechanism, and the mechanism is this part. A wing that goes soft overnight is a different fault and usually lives in the hose or the bladder, so check that before ordering. It is the common K-type fitting, so it suits XDEEP wings and any bladder built to that pattern, and on the NX wings the compact head is part of what keeps valves reachable. It suits a diver servicing a wing whose hose is still sound.
