Description

A shore entry through surf works sand into an open first stage. This one is never open: the MK17 EVO 2 uses a dry ambient pressure chamber on a twin spring layout behind a dual diaphragm, so no part of the inner mechanism meets water at any point in the dive, and freezing resistance follows from the same seal. That is the argument for it over the piston MK25 EVO. A body rib is shaped to improve heat exchange, two high pressure ports sit at 15 degrees for routing and direct transmitter mounting, and four high-flow low pressure ports handle the rest. It weighs 797 grams in INT 232 at 9.2 to 9.8 bar. The S620Ti carries the large S600 diaphragm in a compact technopolymer case on a titanium barrel, so a small breath still cracks the valve early. It suits a diver working cold green water or a silty inland quarry.
