Description

A patched fin foot pocket flexes on every kick and a sealed drysuit knee takes the load of kneeling on a shot line, which is why an adhesive that cures rigid fails on both. This one cures flexible: a urethane adhesive and sealant for neoprene, drysuit seams, boots and fins, in a 28 g tube. That is the difference between a repair lasting a season and one lasting a dive. Cure takes hours rather than minutes, so a repair is planned the night before rather than attempted on a boat, which makes it a repair-kit item rather than a field fix. Typical jobs are sealing a pinhole in a drysuit, re-sticking lifted seam tape, patching a fin foot pocket and rebuilding a worn boot sole, and 28 g covers a run of them. A split latex neck or wrist seal is a replacement job, not a glue job, and structural drysuit damage goes to a suit technician. It suits a diver keeping a repair kit for neoprene and drysuits.
