Description

Bright tropical water throws back more light than the eye is comfortable with, particularly on a long session spent near the surface between descents. A red mirror lens cuts that glare, and this set carries the Sphera X with one, alongside the Wrap snorkel. The mask underneath is the low volume freediving design that makes the range worth buying: curved Plexisol lenses sitting close to the face so internal volume is a fraction of a scuba mask, and 180 degrees of panoramic vision with no distortion across the curve. Less air spent equalising is more air spent diving. The trade to weigh is that a mirror lens passes less light than a clear one, so it belongs in bright shallow water rather than at depth. The Wrap rolls into a fist-sized bundle and an EVA case protects the coating. It suits a freediver or snorkeller in bright, shallow, clear water.
