Description

Approaching fish is largely a matter of not looking like a threat, and a matte grey mask does that better than a white one that flashes with every turn of the head. This set is the Micromask X in asphalt with the Wrap snorkel. The mask is built on Aqua Lung's patented one-piece construction, with lens, skirt and frame moulded together so the lens sits close to the face, which widens the field of view and keeps internal volume low. On a breath-hold descent that low volume is air saved directly from the lungs. The skirt is high-grade silicone that flexes to the contours of the face and seals without heavy strap pressure, and push-button adjustment works in gloves. The Wrap rolls into a fist-sized bundle for a wetsuit pocket. It suits a spearfisher or freediver who wants a low-profile mask in a colour that does not announce itself.
