Sidemount Trim Pockets

Description

In sidemount the cylinders move as they empty, and a diver who was flat at the start of the dive often finishes head-up as the aluminium turns buoyant. Small fixed weights on the shoulder or waist webbing correct that without touching the ditchable ballast. These pockets carry it: M takes two 1.5 kg blocks, L takes two 3 kg, and an internal hard polymer plate keeps each one in shape rather than letting it sag into the rig. They mount on any 50 mm webbing, XDEEP or otherwise, so they work on a backmount harness as readily as on a Stealth. They form part of the Stealth 2.0 weight system, which carries up to 25 kg across all positions. They are sold as a pair. They suit a sidemount diver chasing trim across the whole dive rather than only at the start of it.
