XDEEP Central Weight Pocket

Description

Lead on a waist belt pulls the hips down and pushes the shoulders up, which is the shape most divers spend their first hundred dives fighting. Moving it behind the backplate puts it on the spine, close to the body's own axis, and the rig then sits flat with far less effort. This pocket does that, and its position slides up or down the spine to fine-tune the balance point rather than being fixed wherever the bolts happen to fall. Capacities run from 2 x 1.5 kg on the S to 8 x 1.5 kg on the D and 4 x 2.5 kg on the W. The weight is not ditchable, which is deliberate: this is trim and ballast, not emergency buoyancy. It fits XDEEP backplates and the Stealth 2.0 harness, part of a system carrying up to 25 kg across all positions. It suits a diver taking lead off a belt.
