Who writes the Dive Guides
Devon Ford opened Scuba Evolution in Glenvista, Johannesburg, in 2014 and still runs it. The centre holds the PADI 5 Star Dive Centre rating. Devon is a PADI IDC Staff Instructor, member number 360852. That is the rating for instructors who help train new PADI instructors on Instructor Development Courses, alongside teaching divers from Discover Scuba upwards.
He writes the Dive Guides and reviews each one before it is published. Every guide names its sources, from PADI and DAN to the dive medical guidance doctors use and peer-reviewed research, and ends with the month it was last reviewed.
