Description

An octopus spends every dive stowed and unused, so bulk is its real cost: a full-size second stage clipped to a chest D-ring is something to snag on and something to get in the way. The Compact Octo is super-compact and feather-light for that reason, while still delivering the breathing performance of a full-size regulator when it is finally needed. Its shape is designed to be purged and deployed quickly, and the high-visibility yellow means a diver out of gas finds it by eye rather than by feel. The body is scratch-resistant, which matters on a part that drags along a rig, and the purge button is large and impact resistant so it can be located and worked under stress. An adjustable Venturi can be set to pre-dive mode to stop free-flows at the surface. It is rated for water above 10 degrees. It suits a diver who wants a small octopus that still breathes properly.
