Description

The octopus is the second stage most likely to freeze, because it sits cold and unused and then takes a sudden high flow at the worst possible moment. The Compact Pro Octo is built against exactly that: a thermoconductive polymer case transfers warmth from the surrounding water, and from the diver's own breath, into the internal components, which is what prevents ice forming inside during the rapid breathing of an emergency ascent. Everything else follows the Compact octopus: super-compact and feather-light so it stows without snagging, a shape designed for quick purging and deployment, a large purge button that can be found under stress, and high-visibility yellow so it is identified by eye.
