Description

An octopus is dead weight for every dive except one, so its size and mass are worth more thought than they usually get. The XL4+ octopus is the lightest Apeks make. On a travel trip that saving compounds with the regulator it partners. On a reef dive it hangs on a clip without dragging the BCD sideways. On an out of gas ascent it delivers the same breathe as the XL4+ primary, because it is the same second stage in a high visibility housing. The venturi lever prevents the free flow that unbreathed octopuses are prone to at the surface, and the Comfobite mouthpiece keeps it comfortable for a receiver who may be breathing hard. It fits any XL4 or XL4+ first stage. It suits a diver building a lightweight rig, and it is the correct partner for the XL4+ regulator.
