Description

Donating a regulator to a panicking diver puts it in a mouth at an awkward angle, often upside down, and most octopuses were never designed for that moment. The Egress was. A 12 degree angle between the mouthpiece and the hose sets it correctly for a buddy rather than for the owner, and it breathes smoothly either way up. The valve is pneumatically balanced, so performance holds at depth rather than falling away. On a technical rig its low profile minimises drag where a bulky backup would snag. On a cold water dive it is rated for use in cold conditions. On a boat the high visibility 36 inch yellow hose separates it from the primary at a glance. It suits a diver who takes the alternate air source as seriously as the primary, and it complements any Apeks regulator.
