Apeks XTX40 Octopus

Description

An octopus that can only be plumbed to one side forces the rest of the rig to work around it, which is why the XTX40 octopus is left and right hand reversible. It is the XTX40 second stage in a high visibility yellow front cover on a 36 inch yellow hose, so it is unmistakable against a black primary. On an out of gas ascent the receiver gets the same pneumatically balanced breathe as the primary rather than a budget stage. On a sidemount or twinset rig the reversible spindle lets the hose leave on whichever side the routing needs. On a boat the yellow hose makes it obvious to a buddy which regulator to reach for. The venturi lever prevents an accidental free flow at the surface. It fits any XTX or DS4 first stage. It suits a diver pairing a proper backup with an XTX40 or XTX50 primary.
