Apeks XTX50 Octopus

Description

Handing a panicking diver a regulator that breathes worse than the primary is the flaw in almost every octopus on the market. The XTX50 octopus is the XTX50 second stage, with the same breathing effort knob and venturi lever, in a high visibility housing. On an out of gas ascent the receiver gets full performance at depth rather than a stage that stiffens. On a training dive an instructor donating repeatedly gets the same breathe every time. On a cold water dive it resists the free flow that an unbreathed octopus is prone to, because the venturi can be set closed until it is needed. The diver changeable exhaust lets it be set up for whichever side it is clipped. It fits any XTX or DST first stage. It suits a diver who refuses to carry a budget backup, and it matches the XTX50 primary exactly.
