X-Wing Pro Freediving Fins

Description

Soft snorkelling blades bend away under a strong kick, and stiff scuba fins tire the legs before the second dive, which is why freedivers move to long, tapered blades. The Mares X-Wing Pro uses a 713 mm by 190 mm elastomer blade that thins towards the tip, giving a firmer, more reactive kick than a standard long blade while staying agile. The blade sits at 30 degrees to the foot pocket, and a V-tip stops it slipping side to side during the kick. The X-Wing foot pocket has no side rails, is designed to be worn with or without neoprene socks, and the blade is interchangeable. That covers depth training on a line, spearfishing along a reef edge, and a snorkeller ready for a first proper freediving fin. It suits a freediver who wants a stiffer, responsive long blade.
