Description

The angle between the foot and the blade decides how much of a kick becomes forward movement rather than lifting the diver. The Gara Modular Impulse sets that bend at 29 degrees, which raises dynamic performance over a straighter blade by directing more of the effort backwards. Alongside that, the blade is built to survive: Cressi describe it as almost impossible to break accidentally, with an unusual resistance to shock, impact and stress, which matters on a fin long enough to be stood on, trapped under a boat ladder or dropped on rock. Long blades are the ones that get damaged, so a genuinely tough one changes the economics of owning them. Sizes run 36/37 to 46/47 in two colours. It suits a freediver or spearfisher who wants a long high-performance blade that will survive the shore.
