Description

A full-length freediving blade is a liability in winter, in surf entries and in shallow spearfishing, where the extra span catches on ground the diver is trying to move over. The Sprint is the shorter version of the Impulse for exactly those conditions, keeping the same design lineage rather than being a cheaper stand-in. Both fins were developed using finite element software to define highly complex blade sections, and the blade is built from a single thermoplastic elastomer worked as an angled sublayer with an overlay, which is what allows a short blade to stay efficient rather than merely stiff. The result is a fin sized for winter work and for spearfishing where a long blade is unnecessary. Sizes run 36/37 to 46/47 in two colours. It suits a freediver or spearfisher working shallow, in winter, or over ground where a long fin is a nuisance.
