Description

A freediving blade that simply bends wastes the energy the leg put into it. The Gara Modular Boost is built to give that energy back, using an S-shaped wave deformation in the blade that stores elastic potential energy through the loading phase and releases it into the return of thrust. That is a different mechanism from a blade that flexes and springs back, and it is why the fin can be this light without losing drive. Weight matters as much as the mechanism on a breath-hold dive, because a heavy fin costs oxygen on every kick and the cost compounds across a session. The Boost is an evolution of the Impulse project, so the blade geometry comes from the same development work. Sizes run EU 36/37 to 46/47. It suits a freediver or spearfisher who wants stored-energy propulsion at a low weight.
