Description

A piston first stage pushes air hard on demand, which is what it does well, at the cost of a mechanism open to the water around it. In clean Cape or Sodwana water that trade is worth taking; in silt-heavy inland water the sealed MK17 EVO 2 is the safer buy, and it is worth being clear about which is which. This is the only balanced flow-through piston in the SCUBAPRO range, finished in white with dark grey logos and accents across the bumper, saddle, cap and connection wheel on the first stage and the casing, front cover and exhaust tee on the second. The body is polished chrome-plated marine-grade brass with XTIS insulation and external heat-exchange fins, five low pressure ports on a swivel turret and two high pressure ports. The S620Ti puts the large S600 diaphragm in a reinforced technopolymer case on a stainless steel frame with a corrosion-free titanium barrel. It suits a diver in clean water who wants the set finished in white.
