The MK17 EVO 2 first stage uses a chrome-plated brass body with a twin-spring, environmentally sealed dry chamber, isolating the internal mechanism from surrounding water and reducing the risk of internal icing or contamination in cold or silty conditions. Two high-pressure ports are angled at 15 degrees, allowing cleaner routing for a pressure gauge or transmitter hose, alongside multiple low-pressure ports for flexible hose configuration.

The C370 second stage carries a fibreglass-reinforced technopolymer casing, keeping the unit compact and lightweight without compromising durability, an approach suited to travel diving as much as regular local use. Breathing performance is air-balanced, delivering consistent airflow regardless of depth, tank pressure, or breathing rate, with a diver-adjustable inhalation effort knob and a coaxial dive/pre-dive lever giving further control over freeflow and resistance at the surface.
