Mouthpiece Comfobite

Description

Jaw ache at the end of a long dive is caused by biting to hold a regulator in place, and the Comfobite removes the need to bite at all. A bridge across the top of the mouthpiece sits against the palate and carries the weight of the second stage, so the teeth only locate it. On a long decompression dive that difference is felt in the last hour rather than the first. On a cold water dive a numb jaw grips less well, and the bridge takes over. On a rental or club regulator a fresh mouthpiece is the cheapest hygiene measure available. Perished, split or chewed mouthpieces are the most common reason a good regulator feels wrong, and replacing one costs very little. This is the standard black version. It suits any Apeks second stage, and it is also stocked in green and grey.
