Octopus Calypso / Titan - Classic

Description

Rental and club sets are rebuilt from parts more often than they are replaced, and this octopus exists for that economy. It is the alternate air source for the Calypso and Titan regulators, sharing their service parts, so a centre keeps one set of spares rather than two. Work of breathing is 1.0 joules per litre through a downstream valve, which fails to a free flow rather than to a closed valve, the behaviour wanted from a second stage that spends nearly all its life untouched on a D-ring. It is nitrox ready to 40 per cent oxygen as supplied. That answers a training centre kitting out a fleet, a club replacing a tired octopus, and a diver completing a Titan or Calypso set. It suits a centre or a diver already running a Calypso or Titan regulator.
