TEC2 Second Stage

Description

The second stage is the part of a regulator that is in the mouth for the whole dive, so how it breathes at depth and in cold water sets the tone for everything else. The TEC2 is Tecline's top second stage: pneumatically balanced, with a venturi knob, a breathing resistance adjustment knob, a heat exchanger and Tecline's direct flow system, in a polyamide body with a stainless steel outer ring. Metal parts carry a Teflon coating against freezing, and Tecline state that its breathing figures exceed EN 250A. At 260 g it works as the primary on a long hose for a cave or wreck penetration, as a yellow octopus on a recreational rig that a buddy can find fast, or in the green O2 version on a decompression stage cylinder. An ergonomic mouthpiece is fitted. Hose and first stage are sold separately, and fitting is work for a qualified technician. It suits a diver upgrading to a cold-water second stage with full breathing controls.
