Stratos 3 Fins

Description

A full-foot fin removes the boot, the strap and the buckle, which is three fewer things to pack and three fewer to fail. The Stratos 3 is built for that kind of diving. The foot pocket is soft and carries grip on the inner sole so the foot does not slide around inside it, which is where energy and occasionally the fin itself gets lost. The blade uses a four-channel structure with side wings to direct water and hold the fin stable through the kick, and Aqua Lung moved the bending point backwards to create what they call a Torsion Energy Point, producing more push for the same effort. The underside of the foot pocket is a no-slip sole, which matters more than it sounds on a wet dive deck. That answers a warm-water trip with a baggage limit, a snorkelling holiday, and a diver who dislikes boots. It suits a diver working barefoot in warm water.
