Description

Divers who feel a stab of cold every time they add gas to a drysuit are feeling the inlet valve, and a thicker undersuit does nothing about it. A panel in the right place does. This vest sets an additional chest panel directly behind that valve and takes the worst of the incoming air, which makes it a targeted fix rather than a general one. It is sleeveless by design, so it adds nothing to buoyancy or to bulk at the shoulders and arms, where freedom of movement decides how a dive feels. The fabric is a four-way stretch knit cut long in the body, holding a snug fit and closing off the cold points a loose layer creates, and it wicks perspiration outward toward the next layer rather than leaving it against the skin. Sizing spans X Small through 3X Large, black throughout. In the layering order it goes above a J2 or Xerotherm base layer and below an Arctic or Halo AR undersuit. It suits a drysuit diver who feels the inlet valve.
