Description

Most undergarments bunch at the elbow and behind the knee while the drysuit is being pulled over them, and a fold of fleece there turns into a cold gap once the diver is in the water. Elastic wrist loops and heel straps anchor this one so it stays where it was put. It is the heaviest layer in the K2 range, a one-piece cut as a steamer and patterned on the Everflex 1.5 millimetre wetsuit line rather than shaped as a loose thermal oversuit. The fabric is a breathable stretch dual fleece, insulating while still letting the drysuit vent through its exhaust valve. Compression padding sits on shoulders, chest and knees, where a harness, a cylinder and a boat deck press the loft out of an undersuit and take its insulation with it; at the shoulder it also stops the harness pinching through on a long hang in 10 degree Cape water. Two zipped hip pockets are cut deep enough to be useful. Six sizes in black. It suits a cold-water drysuit diver wanting the warmest option.
