Description

Drag is not the whole story with a loose argon bottle: it rolls round the cylinder during a dive and ends up under an arm at the wrong moment. This kit bands it to the main cylinder instead of a backplate, which is the answer for a rig with no argon mounting points, and it works on a single tank or on twins. Two bands make it up. The main tank band uses stainless steel cinch hardware with flush catches, so nothing stands proud for a line to catch on, which earns its keep in a wreck or a cave where a snag costs time a decompression schedule cannot spare, and the buckle sits shielded behind the argon bottle. The argon cylinder is held by a rubber grip pad and a hook and loop strap, with a lower band carrying a neck cradle cord. It takes 6 and 13 cubic foot cylinders and rides in the water shadow behind the main tank. It suits a drysuit diver on a rig without argon mounting points.
