Description

A canister swinging on a bolt snap shifts a diver's balance at every turn, and correcting for it costs gas. This kit fixes the pack to the right side of an S-TEK harness waist strap so it is carried on the body, close to the spine, and trim stays the same from the first minute of the dive to the last. Rigid mounting strap webbing takes the weight and stops the canister moving, attaching into the slots on an S-TEK backplate through a Tri-Glide. Position along the waist strap is adjustable, and the pack comes off with the harness still assembled and worn. Carried there, the cable run to a light head in the hand stays short enough to keep clear of the harness. Hardware alone is supplied; the canister light, its battery and cable are separate. It is sized for canister packs and does nothing for a handheld torch, which is better served by a bungee or a bolt snap. It suits a technical diver running a canister light on an S-TEK harness.
