Cressi Big Eyes Mask

Some designs get copied because they solved something. The original Big Eyes introduced the inverted teardrop lens shape and the raked lens angle that most twin-lens masks now imitate, and the reason is measurable: about 30 per cent more field of view than a conventional twin-lens mask. Raking the lenses lets them sit closer to the eyes, which is what widens the view, and the high-grade silicone skirt is shaped to hold them there while sealing properly. It has stayed in the range for decades because nothing about the geometry has been improved on at the price, which is why it still turns up on rental racks and in experienced divers' bags alike. It comes in black or black and blue. It suits a diver who wants a proven wide-view mask without paying for the newer skirt technologies.
