Description

When a computer floods or a battery dies, an analogue console still reports gas and depth, which is the argument for carrying one alongside a computer and why most technical training still requires it. This puts both readings in one housing, so there is one thing to find on the end of a high pressure hose rather than two clipped separately. The slimline body is the point of this version: a bulky console swings, drags and ends up on the reef, and cutting the frontal area is what keeps it against the body. The needle is driven straight from cylinder pressure through a first stage high pressure port, with no transmitter and no cell anywhere in the path. Give it a home on a hip or chest D-ring instead of letting it hang. Sealing the port properly is workshop work, so have it fitted rather than doing it on a tailgate. It suits a diver wanting an analogue backup to a computer.
