SCUBAPRO Compact Combo 2

Description

Analogue gauges carry no battery and no firmware, so a console that came off the bakkie at dawn reads the same at 30 metres as a flooded computer reads nothing. This is that second opinion on the two numbers a diver cannot dive without, a twin console pairing cylinder pressure with depth, sized and weighted for travel. The pressure gauge covers 0 to 400 bar with a red zone running from 50 bar down to empty, which registers as a colour rather than a figure and so reads faster through a fogged mask. The depth gauge is nitrogen filled and rated to 60 metres on a parabolic scale, spreading the first 40 metres across more of the dial, with a maximum depth indicator recording the deepest point for the logbook. Both dials are luminous. The rubber housing carries a loop on top for a safety lanyard, on a streamlined Pebax high pressure hose. There is no compass and no computer on it. It suits a diver wanting an analogue backup to a computer.
