Elite Marker Buoy

Description

Sending a marker up from depth goes wrong in one of two ways: it will not inflate from the octopus, or it bursts as the gas expands on the way to the surface. The Elite Marker addresses both. It has an open end for inflation from a diver's octopus and a plastic wind inflator for filling at the surface, so it can be deployed from below or from the top, and a quick release valve both deflates it fast and prevents overinflation when it is released from depth. It attaches to a finger reel for a controlled deployment. Reflective strips on the top make it identifiable once it is up, which matters when several are in the water. It is brightly coloured, open-cell, and stows on an attached bungee small enough to fit most divers' pockets. That answers a drift dive, a deco stop and a boat pickup. It suits a diver deploying a marker from depth on a reel.
