SCUBAPRO Surface Marker Buoy PVC 1.3m (Orange)

Description

Everything needed to deploy comes in the pouch, which is why this is the buoy a diver actually has to hand: six metres of orange line and a clip, inside a nylon pouch whose own clip takes a BCD D-ring. Unclip it at a safety stop, fill the tube and ride up under a marked position, rather than surfacing into a swell as a dark head a skipper 200 metres off has little chance of picking out. The skin is HF welded orange PVC at 1300 by 165 millimetres, heavier and stiffer than the 210 denier nylon used on the taller buoys. The bottom is open and weighted with lead, so it stands upright once filled rather than lying flat, and filling is from a regulator second stage into that open base. Diver Below and the SCUBAPRO logo are printed on each face. Six metres of line suits a safety stop, so a shot from 20 or 30 metres calls for a reel or spool. It suits a diver wanting a complete buoy kit in one pocket.
