Apeks Surface Marker Buoy 1,4m

Description

An open ended buoy needs air put into it while the diver holds it upright and hopes nothing escapes. The Apeks unit uses a fully closed oral inflation valve, so it inflates on a single breath and stays inflated. On a decompression stop that means one action instead of several. On a rough surface SOLAS reflective tape runs down both sides, so a boat picks it out in chop or darkness. On a cold water dive the valve works one handed in gloves and the over pressure relief valve has a pull toggle sized for them. Two brass eyelets at the top take a torch, strobe or slate, attach it to a Lifeline Ascend reel, or let the buoy be folded and clipped into a loop as an emergency float. A two inch stainless D-ring takes the reel or spool. It suits any diver who ascends away from the shot line.
