Suunto Eon Core

Description

The EON Core is the lighter half of Suunto's technical pair, 154 g against the steel-cased EON Steel, in a reinforced composite housing that a diver notices far less at the end of a long dive. The colour screen carries the same information: up to ten gases with oxygen from 5 to 99 per cent and helium to 95 per cent, trimix, gauge and a fixed setpoint rebreather mode, all running on Fused RGBM 2. Four customisable displays per mode mean a recreational dive can show a clean classic layout while a decompression dive shows the graphical one. Air integration is optional through Suunto Tank PODs and up to twenty can be paired, which covers a technical diver with stages or a guide monitoring a team. A tilt-compensated digital compass removes one more instrument from the console, and the logbook holds 200 hours. It suits a diver moving into trimix or rebreather work who wants a light wrist unit.
