Description

A snorkelling mask fogs because warm breath from the nose reaches cold glass, and no amount of spit fixes the underlying cause. The Fiji attacks it structurally. A system of membranes channels exhaled air down towards the lower part of the mask and away from the lenses, and a second membrane seals the eye socket so warm air never touches the glass at all. On top of the mask, silicone blades act as a heat exchanger, speeding the temperature balance between the mask and the water so the difference that causes condensation disappears sooner. It uses an elastic band rather than a silicone strap, which makes it quick to pull on and far kinder to long hair, though an elastic strap is not as firm as silicone. It suits a snorkeller, a beginner, or anyone whose mask fogs constantly.
